Our work
Surgical stump removal is a relatively new concept. It replaces digging out of stumps using excavators which is very disruptive to the surroundings. Another alternative was chemical decomposition which is slow and required repeated applications of corrosive chemicals.
Stump grinders remove the stump core and any raised roots by reducing them to chips and saw dust, usually to a depth of 30 cm.
Why remove stumps?
Stumps tend to live on in the ground for many years. In that time they represent danger of tripping of pedestrians and damage to lawnmowers who work in their vicinity. In golf courses, graveyards and other such public areas, unremoved stumps represent a huge liability for the occupier.
Stumps are also unsightly and once removed you can reinstate as a lawn or plant another tree. |
